Behind Moore’s huge game, Bravettes upend Sentinel
MISSOULA — Flathead junior Kennedy Moore scored a career-high 33 points, six in overtime, leading the Bravettes over Missoula Sentinel 58-52 in a key Western AA girls basketball game.
Moore, who also grabbed 24 rebounds, was critical in helping the Bravettes (9-3 overall, 6-2 in league) avenge a 50-42 loss to the Spartans on Jan. 6. Also pitching in were Avery Chouinard, who went 4-for-4 at the line in OT; and Akilah Kubi, who added 10 points.
Emily McElmurry scored 23 points to lead the Spartans, who lost their third straight and fell to 7-4, 4-4 in conference. Olivia Huntsinger added 10.
