Vikings, Vals sweep Polson in hoops
BIGFORK — Nick Walker had 23 points and 12 rebounds — and a big first half — as Bigfork downed Polson 58-43 for a non-conference boys basketball win Tuesday.
Walker hit five 3-pointers in the first half and scored 17 points as the District 7-B Vikings (14-3) took a 34-22 halftime lead.
Wyatt Johnson and Jensen combined for 24 points, eight assists and five steals for Bigfork; Bryce Gilliard had nine boards.
Jarrett Wilson hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 18 to lead the Northwest A Pirates (6-11).

POLSON — Paeten Gunlock hit four 3-pointers and scored 17 points, and the unbeaten Bigfork Valkyries scored an impressive victory over Northwest A Polson.
Braeden Gunlock scored a game-high 18; she had 11 in the first half and her sister eight. Madison Chappuis added 12 points and Scout Nadeau 10 for the 7-B Vals (17-0).
Grace Simonich and Julia Barnard had seven points each for the Pirates (10-7).
