No. 29197 NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION SOMERS WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS—2023  February 6, 2023 The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has reviewed the above-named project. The project will provide piping and services to existing homes presently being served by individual wells with source water quality and quantity issues; additionally, the water main installation will be a portion of a loop in the Somers Water and Sewer District’s existing distribution system to improve pressure and provide additional resilience to the area. This project is to take place in 2023.    This project consists of: -Installation of approximately 2,403 LF of 8-inch PVC pipe along School Addition Road. The installation will include all associated valves, hydrants, fittings, and service connections as shown on the plans and indicated in the specifications. -Installation of approximately 493 LF of 8-inch PVC pipe along Dodd Avenue. The installation will include all associated valves, hydrants, fittings, and service connections as shown on the plans and indicated in the specifications.   Pursuant to ARM 17.40.318, the Department has concluded that the proposed project meets the Categorical Exclusion criteria of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Montana Environmental Policy Act (MEPA).
