Helena hits 11 threes to beat Braves

HELENA — Jaxon Lieberg scored 27 points, evin Wetzel hit six 3-pointers on the way to 20 and Helena outscored Flathead 82-66 in Western AA boys basketball Saturday afternoon.

Wetzel hit his last three 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Bengals (10-5 overall, 7-4 in league) opened up a 62-46 lead. Lieberg scored 19 points after halftime as well.

For Flathead (1-14, 1-10), Noah Cummings led four players in double figures with 20 points. Lyric Ersland was next with 17. Korbin Eaton hit three 3-pointers on the way to 11 points and Gaberiel Sims had 12.
