Micki Lehman, 91
Micki Lehman, 91, passed away on Feb. 14, 2023, at Brendan House Nursing Home in Kalispell due to natural causes.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1932, in White Earth, North Dakota to Patrick John and Marion Elizabeth (Neuman) Reynolds.
On July 28, 1952, she married Arnold “Arnie” Lehman in Stanley, North Dakota and to this union they had two children, Christopher and Misty. They moved to Minot, North Dakota and in 1962 moved to Missoula where they resided until moving to Spokane, Washington in 1993. Micki resided in Spokane until August 2001 upon Arnie’s death, then moved back to Missoula. In February 2011 she moved to The Springs at Whitefish to be closer to her daughter. In May 2020 she moved into Brendan House Nursing Home. When first living in Missoula she was employed at Saint Patrick’s Hospital and later worked as a customer service associate at LaBelles, then later transferred to Best Corporation in Spokane, where Arnie received a lung transplant. She was extremely proud that her children and grandchildren achieved degrees in higher education. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, breeding swordtail fish and was extremely proud of her Irish heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Christopher Bruce Lehman (Jan. 23, 1987), and her husband Arnold (Aug. 13, 2001) of 49 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers: William, James, Patrick Jr., Edward, Daniel, and Earl Reynolds and sisters: Genevieve Herseth, Helen Saban, Kathy Morigeau Smith and infant sister, Viola.
She is survived by her daughter, Misty (Robert) Teeples of Columbia Falls; granddaughters Jennifer (Andy) Steele of Whitefish and Kristin (Derek) Thompson of Dillingham, Alaska; great-grandchildren Drew and Jax Steele; siblings MaryJo (Stan) Rasmussen and Theresa Reynolds. When looking through paperwork a handwritten quote by author Barbara Taylor Bradford was found which she was a firm believer of, “We are each the authors of our own lives. We live in what we have created. There is no way to shift the blame and no one else to accept the accolades. What happens to your children when they are young is your responsibility. What happens to them as adults, they have to answer for.”
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Brendan House Nursing Home for their skill and compassionate care shown to Micki.
Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls is caring for the family. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls. At Micki’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Private burial will take place in the spring.
