Belo, Bobcats bully Bears Thursday; Griz fall in OT
GREELEY, Colo. — Jubrile Belo scored 17 points as Montana State beat Northern Colorado 77-56 in Big Sky Conference basketball Thursday night.
Belo added eight rebounds for the Bobcats (9-7 overall, 2-1 in the Big Sky). Great Osobor added 15 points off the bench while shooting 6 of 7 from the field, and he also had five rebounds and two blocks. Darius Brown II added 10 points.
The Bobcats didn’t allow a 3-pointer in the first half and held the league’s top scorer, Dalton Kneht, to eight points on 4 of 11 shooting.
Rayquan Battle scored seven of his xx points while MSU went up 19-8 at 10:21 of the first half. Belo’s last basket had the Cats up 67-39 with 6:38 left in the game.
The Bears (5-10, 0-3) were led by Langston Reynolds’s 12 points. Brock Wisne added 10 points.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Jalen Cone had 26 points, including a 3-pointer with 26 seconds left in overtime, to lead Northern Arizona to victory against Montana Thursday.
Cone's three capped the scoring; Montana missed its last three shots.
Cone had eight rebounds for the Lumberjacks (5-11 overall, 1-2 in the Big Sky). Carson Towt scored 17 points while shooting 6 of 10 from the field and added six rebounds. Liam Lloyd went 6 for 8 from the line to finish with 13 points for NAU.
Josh Bannan finished with 20 points, six rebounds and two steals for the Grizzlies (7-8, 1-2 in league), who had guard Brandon Whitney limited to 19 minutes (and two points) by non-Covid illness.
Reserve Josh Vazquez added 17 points — including two free throws to force overtime — along with five steals and two blocks. Aanen Moody finished with 14 points and two steals, and Dischon Thomas scored 13 points.
Montana plays at Northern Colorado Saturday afternoon, while MSU travels to NAU.
