Jackson Hensley, the leading rusher on last fall’s Glacier Wolfpack, announced via Twitter that he has committed to Montana Tech to play football on Friday.

“I’m excited to announce my full commitment to Montana Tech! Would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for everything they’ve done to give this opportunity!” Hensley wrote. “Roll digs!”

Playing running back for the Pack for the first time, the 185-pounder finished sixth in the Western AA in rushing in 2022, picking up 712 yards on 11 carries, a 6.4-yard average. He also caught 20 passes for 226 yards. In 10 games with the 7-4 Wolfpack he scored 10 touchdowns on the ground and two receiving.

The Orediggers are coached by former Flathead High coach Kyle Samson, who has a 12-8 record in two seasons at the helm. Last season Montana Tech went 7-3 and finished third in the Frontier Conference.

Hensley will join former Wolfpack teammates Jake Turner and Luke Bilau on the Orediggers roster. Bilau is a tight end and Turner plays receiver.
