Virginia Marie Pruett was born in Chicago on Oct. 19, 1932, to Everett and Marguerite Breid. She passed away on Jan. 3, 2023. Most of her life was spent in San Diego. She married Jerry Pruett in 1950. Jerry entered the army and so they spent the next couple of years at Camp Roberts, California. Their four children were born over the next six years. Virginia was a devoted housewife and loving mother, a devout Catholic, who wanted more than anything for her children to follow in the footsteps of her faith. Once her children were grown, she developed some of her artistic talents, such as flower arranging, sewing, gardening and ceramics. After her husband's death, Virginia moved to Kalispell in 1996. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her youngest son, Jeffrey, and her sister Marilyn.

She is survived by her siblings: Margie, Sandy, Lorelei, Michael, and Gerry; her children: Cheryl (Sid) Anderson, Steven (Sue) Pruett, and Denise (Howard) Sabestinas; as well as 13 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Virginia was remembered in a private family ceremony in Marietta, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to TurnAround Ministries Inc., 2295 Towne Lake Pkwy, Suite 116-102, Woodstock, GA 30189.
