Boys hoops: C-Falls wins at Ronan; Whitefish takes down Libby
RONAN — Cody Schweikert scored 15 points, including four free throws in the fourth quarter, and Columbia Falls held off Ronan 64-57 Friday in Northwest A boys basketball.
Alihn Anderson added 14 points for the Wildcats (8-1 overall, 5-0 in league), who used a strong third quarter to overtake the Chiefs (2-4, 1-3).
Jace Hill added another 12 points for Columbia Falls, which saw Schweikert go 9-for-9 at the line and Anderson hit four 3-pointers.
That helped offset Ronan’s nine treys; Josiah Misa hit four on the way to 15 points, and Todd Coffman hit three from the arc on the way to 14 points.

LIBBY — Jack Sears scored 19 points and Whitefish clamped down on defense in the third quarter to claim its first Northwest A victory.
Ryan Beagle hit six 3-pointers for Libby, four in a second-quarter burst that helped the Loggers (4-5 overall, 1-4 in league) to a 29-28 halftime lead. Beagle scored a game-high 20 points.
Mason Genovese hit the second of his three 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Bulldogs (2-8, 1-5) surged in front, 42-31. Genovese finished with 14 points and Mason Kelch added 12 for Whitefish.

FRENCHTOWN — The host Frenchtown Broncs put four players in double figures and built a 43-21 halftime lead en route to a non-conference win.
Jarrett Wilson scored 17 points to lead Polson; the Pirates of the Northwest A fell to 3-5. Connor Michaud and Eli Quinn had 17 points each for the Southwest A Broncs (9-2).
