Capital girls pull away from Pack

HELENA — Kathryn Emmert and Jada Clarkson scored nine points each and Helena Capital pulled away in the second quarter to take a 48-24 Western AA girls basketball win from Glacier Friday.

Noah Fincher led the Wolfpack in scoring with five points; Glacier (2-5 overall, 1-2 in the Western AA) forged a 9-9 tie after one quarter. Emmert’s two 3-pointers and another from Taylor Sayers in the second quarter helped the Bruins (5-1, 2-1 in league) gain steam.

Glacier plays at Helena High Saturday at 2 p.m.
