Helena downs Glacier girls behind Bullock, free throws
HELENA — Alex Bullock scored 21 points, and Helena made a 33-20 halftime lead hold up Saturday for a 58-49 win over Glacier in Western AA girls basketball.
Bullock scored eight points in the first half for the Bengals (5-2 overall, 3-1 in the Western AA), who enjoyed a 24-1 advantage at the free throw line.
Glacier (2-6, 1-3 in league) hung in with 3-point shooting — the Wolfpack knocked down 10 long-range attempts to none for Helena. Reese Ramey hit five and scored 17 points. Sarah Downs hit two and scored 10 points. Noah Fincher also had 10 for the Pack.
Glacier’s next action is part of Friday’s crosstown doubleheader, at the Wolf Den. The Wolpack and Bravettes play the nightcap; the boys play first, at 6 p.m.
