Alan John Fuzesy, 70
Alan “Big Al” Fuzesy peacefully left this Earth on Jan. 10, 2023, surrounded by the love of his daughters after a two year journey through pancreatic cancer. Alan J. Fuzesy was born in Great Falls to Alexander and Betty Fuzesy. His youth was spent on the Hi-Line, changing the course of history in Harlem, Montana. After marrying Mindy, they moved to the Flathead Valley to build their life.
Big Al was larger than life. Fast cars, airplanes and love for everyone. Some may remember him as the owner of O’Piccolo’s in Whitefish in the mid 80s-90s. Or maybe you knew him from the Fun Seekers Corvette Club. You probably ran into him boating or skiing on Whitefish Lake. Maybe you even got a chance to see the lake from his parasail. Whatever it was, we know you left with a new friend and a happy heart. Alan’s friends and family have a million stories about his generosity, kindness, and warmth. We’ve heard over and over again: “He would give anyone the shirt off his back.”
Alan is preceded in death by his parents Al and Betty. He is survived by his younger brothers Kim and Kirk; sister Alyson; daughters Brianne, Erin, and Stacia; grandsons Luke, Cole, and Ben; nieces and nephews; and an infinite number of dear friends.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Alan wished you this: Take a moment to hold your dear ones close and raise a glass in his memory wherever you are. A celebration of life is expected for the upcoming beautiful Whitefish summer, Alan’s favorite time of year.
