Neva Eileen Youreman, 77

| January 22, 2023 12:00 AM

Neva Eileen Youreman passed away peacefully in her home in Kalispell on the early morning of Jan. 2, 2023. She was born July 22, 1941, to Ed and Eva Christianson-Olson in Lawton, North Dakota. At a young age Neva moved to the Flathead Valley, where she graduated from Flathead County High School. Neva worked in many professions throughout her life, including traveling around the country for Fred Meyer. Most notably, she provided a child care service in Kalispell. She was also a very successful business woman. At the time of her passing, she was the proud owner of Neva’s Final Touch, serving the Flathead Valley for over 20 years.

As a young woman, Neva enjoyed many activities such as playing the bass guitar in a live band, and joining her husband, Dan, on ride-alongs in his patrol car. Neva was married to Daniel Youreman for 17 years before his passing, both residing in Kalispell. In their years together, they enjoyed many winter hunting trips and summer camping trips with friends in the Spotted Bear wilderness. Every Friday she enjoyed meeting with her close friends “the lunch bunch” at their favorite restaurants to visit and laugh together. Neva’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her extended family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter Vail.

Neva will be remembered as a “one of a kind” hardworking woman always on the go, with an infectious laugh and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. With a passion for invention, she often disrupted sleep from her never ending quest to have the next greatest invention. She will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by everyone who knew her.

Neva is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Eva Olson; sisters Edna and Regna; husband Daniel; niece Jeannie; and children Dawn and Kase. She is survived by her step-daughter Sherilyn and husband Mark Morris; grandchildren Tara Fitzgerald, Wyatt Morris, Abigail Grant, Victoria Grant; and great-granddaughters Ingrid and Vail. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service is scheduled to be held at the First Baptist Church located at 6232 U.S Hwy 93 S Whitefish on Jan. 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. with lunch to follow.

“Uffda”. “How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
