Cuaresma, Big Sky inch past Glacier boys Tuesday
MISSOULA — Missoula Big Sky’s Josiah Cuaresma scored 14 points, nine down the stretch as the Eagles rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Glacier 50-49 in Western AA boys basketball.
Isaiah Reed added 10 points for Big Sky (4-5 overall, 3-3 in the the Western AA), which trailed 42-32 going into the final period.
The Eagles missed a free throw at the end, giving Glacier a chance at the win. Tyler McDonald’s mid-range jumper went long, and Cohen Kastelitz’ put-back came just after the buzzer.
Adam Nikunen hit two 3-pointers and led the Wolfpack (6-4, 3-3 in league) with 11 points. Glacier returns home to face Missoula Hellgate Thursday.
