Valkyries swamp Loyola, 68-33

BIGFORK — Paeten Gunlock hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points, and the Bigfork Valkyries blew open the game after halftime for a 68-33 girls basketball win Saturday.

Scout Nadeau added 15 points and Braeden Gunlock chipped in 13 for the District 7-B Vals, who are 14-0. Nadeau scored nine points in the second half, when Bigfork (14-0) outscored the Breakers 40-16.

Addie Nault hit four 3-pointers and scored 12 points for District 6-B Loyola (9-5).

RONAN — Kalcie Connelly scored 20 points, including 10 in overtime, and Browning held off Northwest A foe Ronan to stay unbeaten Saturday.

Amari Calf Robe scored eight of her 15 points in the extra period as well — while the Lady Indians and host Maidens combined for 34 points in four minutes. Connelly was 8 for 12 from the floor for Browning (14-0 overall, 8–0 in the Northwest A).

Olivia Heiner led Ronan (4-9, 3-4) with 14 points, 12 coming after halftime. Lauryn Buhr and Arianna Zepeda added 12 points each, and Zepeda had six points in OT. The Maidens were 23 of 32 on free throws and Browning was 15 of 29.

POLSON — Mila Hawk scored 17 points to lead four Polson players in double figures, and the Pirates pushed past Columbia Falls in overtime.

Samantha Rensvold contributed 10 off the bench for Polson (9-5 overall, 5-2 in Northwest A games), including a 3-pointer and two free throws in OT.

Rensvold, Hawk and Nikki Kendall (11 points) all hit two 3-pointers. Grace Simonich added 12 points, and the Pirates converted 17 of 25 free throws.

Lexi Oberholtzer hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 19 for the Wildkats (9-5, 4-3 league). Hope McAtee added 16 points, 14 of them coming after halftime. The Kats went 16 of 23 at the line.

RONAN — Olivia Heiner hit two early 3-pointers and finished with 13 points, and Ronan’s balanced offense put away Libby Friday.

Lauryn Buhr added eight points for the Maidens, and Ally Luedtke chipped in seven off the bench. Madison Vincent led the Loggers with seven points.
