Diana Muriel Kyle was born in Danville, Ohio on Oct. 2, 1943, and passed Monday morning, Jan. 23, at the age of 79 after a short illness.

She grew up in Kalispell where she took tap and ballet dance lessons. She received her B.S. degree in dance from the University of Utah, where she also danced at Ballet West. She then received her master’s degree in theater from the University of Montana. She taught dance at FVCC for 20 years. She also performed many years with the Northwest Ballet Company productions dancing famously as Puck in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Upon retirement she volunteered as a citizen scientist in GNP which gave her the opportunity to continue hiking and camping in the park.

She is survived by her husband, John.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to the Glacier National Park Fund in her name.
