Barnard, Lady Pirates down Whitefish by 17
POLSON — Julia Barnard scored 14 points, and the Polson Pirates made a 29-16 halftime lead stand up for a 51-34 girls basketball win over Northwest A rival Whitefish Tuesday.
Barnard and Mila Hawk each hit two 3-pointers, and Hawk had all eight of her points in the first half. Grace Simonich added nine points for the Pirates (10-5 overall, 6-2 in league games).
Jude Perry had a game-high 15 points for Whitefish (4-8, 1-6 in league).

Keni Wade hit two 3-pointers and scored 12 points off the bench for the Vals (15-0, 8-0 in the 7-B). Carrie Wagner’s six points led Plains (2-11, 1-6).

Alanis Peterson hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 points — all in the second half — for the Wildkats, who trailed 41-35 going to the final frame.
Zoe Linn had game-high 18 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars, and teammate Belle Schwartz added 13 points and 10 steals.
