Law roundup: Teens with bat throw fireworks at person
Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of two to three teens, who reportedly had a bat with them, were on the walking path in Woodland Park, throwing fireworks at someone who took cover to call the police. A male was advised he was trespassing.
A man on his way to work allegedly called 911 to report that his parents were going through his belongings in the room he was staying in at their house and wanted officers to respond to the residence for a “family dispute” saying he wanted law enforcement to handle it so he didn’t have to go over there and “throw a tantrum.” When dispatchers repeated why he was calling 911 to confirm the details he became agitated and said they were “worthless” and he would “handle it.” The mother told a Kalispell Police Department officer she was in the process of evicting him and agreed to stay out of the room. The officer gave her a form to obtain a temporary restraining order if needed. The man did not respond to messages.
A man driving an older white Toyota truck allegedly pulled a pistol out and pointed it at another vehicle. A woman called the police when a deputy pulled the truck over on U.S. 93.
A storage shed was reportedly spray-painted.
A woman allegedly reported her wedding ring as stolen and told officers she last saw it around Christmas time.
A parks and recreation employee reportedly cleaning up a transient camp on a hill found an exposed needle. It was collected for destruction.
A camouflage backpack reportedly found in the woods was thrown away when wet items and a foul odor were found inside.
A boat allegedly parked at a location for about six weeks was joined by a camper that had been there for a couple of days along with two vehicles and someone complained it was getting challenging to drive around. Officers stickered a travel trailer, a 16-foot dump trailer, a boat trailer and a car hauler.
Two pit bulls reportedly charged a man out walking.
