Kalispell Planning Board to review subdivision, parking lot project
The Kalispell Planning Board on Tuesday will discuss major subdivision approval for Pioneer Estates, a proposed 22-lot residential subdivision.
The board meets at City Hall, 201 First Ave. E., at 6 p.m. The meeting can also be attended virtually via Zoom.
The board will be fielding a request from project’s developer, KLDS Investments LLC, for the 6-acre lot on the south side of Two Mile Drive, west of Greenbriar, and to the east of the U.S. 93 Bypass. The property is zoned R-4, allowing for the construction of single family homes, duplexes and townhomes.
The board also will consider a request from Casa Mexico restaurant for a conditional use permit for the construction of a parking lot at their 1741 Airport Road location.
The parking lot, which will primarily front 18th Street East, will feature about 78 parking spaces. The new parking is expected to serve the expansion of the restaurant into a portion of the building to the south.
The project will allow for an expanded kitchen and event area, according to the meeting agenda.
