A slate of construction projects have caused closures on portions of Three Mile and Four Mile drives in Kalispell this week.

Three Mile Drive is closed between West Spring Creek Drive and Edwards Lane for the installation of a water main extension serving the Meadows Edge Phase 5 development, according to a construction alert published on the city’s website.

The work began July 19, according to the notice. An official with Sandry Construction said the road is expected to reopen Aug. 4.

Four Mile Drive from West Spring Creek Road to Stillwater Road is completely closed to traffic for construction work occurring beneath the thoroughfare, according to Trustin Johnson of construction firm S&L Underground.

The work includes the construction of a water main and electrical conduits servicing a new pump station, according to Johnson.

Construction is scheduled through Friday, July 21, though Johnson cautioned that work might continue into the weekend.
