Law roundup: Husband shot by paintball gun
Drama unfolded at Woodland Park when a woman called the Kalispell Police Department to report that her husband was shot by paintball guns handled by boys standing on the hill behind the pool. She claimed one gun was real and thought they wanted to hurt her, but stopped responding to dispatch to yell at the youths before the call disconnected. A related call came in about the kids hiding and shooting people with the paintball guns. Dispatchers overheard a man screaming at them.
One of about five skateboarders allegedly hit someone’s van with his skateboard and the person inside threatened to draw a weapon. A passerby said the skateboarder looked to be about 20 and didn’t see any weapons. All individuals involved except a woman were cited for disorderly conduct.
A customer had the misfortune of seeing a woman and a man, who were reportedly high on drugs, screaming at the ground. Meanwhile, the woman tried taking her clothes off and kept flashing the lower half of her body while kids were in the area. Officers moved the duo along.
A suspicious black metal lunch box was reportedly found in the bushes near an office. It was found to contain tools and electrical connectors.
Teens reportedly hiding behind a dirt pile near a bike path were throwing dirt and rocks at bicyclists.
A man and woman were allegedly heard arguing in a playground area. Responding officers spoke with seven people who were being loud. A woman said she was yelling on the phone while the group was yelling at a barking dog. A man, who had a felony warrant out of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, was handcuffed. They later released him when dispatch advised the officer that the jail would not be taking him on the warrant.
A woman calling from a motel phone alleged a stalker followed her across multiple states and there was a terrorist plot involving food trucks. When an officer asked if she had taken drugs, or forgot to take medication, she accused them of being the stalker, a terrorist and murderer.
