Spotting a woman covering herself in a blanket, an onlooker wondered what might be beneath the fabric. They phoned the Kalispell Police Department worried that the woman, who was sitting on a bench with a basket, was otherwise naked. Arriving officers confirmed that the woman was covered “head-to-toe” with a blanket.

Officers picked up a supply of methamphetamine and a pipe left in a purse that was found by housekeeping staff.

Authorities moved along a man in the midst of a deep conversation with himself in an area restroom. They also let him know he was not welcome back.

Catching sight of a man running through a parking lot clutching a purse and deeming it suspicious, a motorist phoned the police. He reported that the man hopped into a vehicle and left.

A man in his 60s with a long mane of hair sitting in a reddish Subaru-like vehicle for several hours left a nearby resident concerned. They described him as “creepy” and asked that officers move him along “as there are children in the neighborhood.” It turned out the man was waiting for someone.

It took a day or five, but a cyclist finally got around to reporting the theft of their bicycle. They said the bike was left without a lock when it was taken.

Officers responded to a report of three homeless people screaming at each other. After speaking with the individuals involved, the trio left the area.

A motorist found out that gas stations often place a $100 hold on credit card transactions after phoning the authorities to report the roughly $80 discrepancy between the amount drawn from her account and what she owed. She told officers she was worried someone filled up using her information after she left, though gas station employees told her about the hold.

Officers reunited a couple who lost track of one another while shopping.

Responding to a possible shoplifting case, officers learned that two Spanish-speaking men had tried to leave with a pair of hats and energy drinks. Officers convinced the employees to let the men pay for the goods rather than pursue criminal charges. They also counseled the two men about their behavior.

Officers picked up wood scattered on an area road.

A drunk man lost his sense of decorum and began running around, annoying other people and throwing their drinks. As no one wanted to pursue charges, officers counseled the whole lot on their behavior.

A hooded man dressed in all black and clutching a teddy bear worried a man who was out with his family. He said the unseasonably dressed man had spent the past half hour staring at his family from a nearby villa.

“Shady” people in the area prompted a resident to request extra patrols at their location.
