A woman wearing a black tank top and glasses was allegedly waving a bat around, pointing it at people and charging toward them in a parking lot. She got into a copper GMC pickup and left. The people around her also left. Kalispell Police Department spoke with two groups in the area who said they didn’t see anything.

Four to five boys in a white Ford F-150 parked at the mall, reportedly threatened to beat up a man walking by, saying they had guns. The man kept hanging up on dispatch and apologized, saying he had to run because he was being threatened. He wasn’t sure if the guns were machine guns or paint ball guns.

Someone went to the police department to discuss a car sale “gone bad.”

A hungry man allegedly walked into a business, stole some doughnuts and water, then left on a bike.

A woman was reportedly backing her trailer into a driveway when an impatient man showed up and started yelling that she couldn’t do that and was blocking traffic. She said it took her a couple of minutes to back all the way in.

Later, the man allegedly went up to her residence, rang the doorbell and said he wanted her name and number and eventually left. Officers advised both parties to stay away from each other’s properties.

A “tweaker” was reportedly smoking something out of a pipe in the back of a gray Bonneville sedan while yelling at and flipping off cars that were driving by.

A welfare check was requested for a man, who appeared intoxicated, and allegedly fell out of his wheelchair on the bike path and was not moving but was breathing.

A camp manager asked officers to check on the welfare of an elderly couple with an Airstream who appeared to be confused and were reportedly supposed to be heading to Florida but traveled north instead. They may have been familiar with the area when the manager said they had been in Whitefish for 20 years. A family member planned to fly up to assist in driving them to their destination.

A business manager asked for extra patrol after someone allegedly told them people had been sleeping on the patio.

A woman was reportedly outside yelling, “You’re hurting me,” repeatedly and, “Please stop.” Someone thought it sounded like a man was choking her. Both parties were arguing when officers arrived and separately said their relationship was abusive. Officers counseled both parties with options they could pursue.
