Kade Drish’s bunt single brought in Oscar Kallis with the winning run in the 12th inning, giving the Kalispell AA Lakers a 7-6 win over the Mission Valley Mariners at Griffin Field late Wednesday.

Drish drove in two runs with bunts for the Lakers (19-2), who forced extra innings when Max Holden tripled and scored on Kallis’ single, tying the game at 6-6 in the ninth inning.

The Class A Mariners led 3-0 on Dawson DuMont’s 3-run home run in the first inning and Espn Fisher’s solo shot in the third.

Joey Thatcher had an RBI single ahead of Timmy Glanville’s 2-run double in the fourth inning as the Lakers drew even at 3-3; they went up 4-3 in the fifth when Drish squeezed hom Max Holden, who’d doubled to lead off the inning.

The lead changed hands again before Kallis’ hit forced extras.

Pitcher Adam Nikunen got the win with five scoreless innings of relief. He gave up one hit and fanned eight.

Cole Wadsworth was nearly as strong for the Mariners, throwing six innings of relief with eight hits and a walk allowed, with two strikeouts.
