David Zauner, 86

David Zauner, 86, passed away in Helena, June 4, 2023. He was born 1936 in Dickenson, N.D., to John and Margaret (Polensky) Zauner. He graduated from Flathead County High School in 1954, and married Rosalie Tollefson in 1958.

He had Main Street Conoco until 1978 and fulfilled his dream of having his own shop on his farm, on Airport Road, until his retirement in 2002. He was a 45-year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John, and sister-in-law, Mary Anna Zauner.

David is survived by his wife, Rosie; brother, Fred (Shirley) Zauner; cousin, Kathy (Dwight) Shurtleff; children, Karla (Tom) Dedman, Rich (Kerri) Zauner and Karen Zauner; and grandchildren, Taylor, Brayden, Bryson, Grace, Jack; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and special neighbors and friends.
