Law roundup: Man requests extra patrol after mountain lion kill
A mountain lion allegedly killed sheep early one morning in Kalispell. The owner requested extra patrols from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and planned to follow up with Fish and Game.
A Bigfork resident claimed someone hacked into Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant technology, and reported that their computers were doing “weird things.”
A hatchback reportedly pulled into a man’s driveway in Bigfork. When the resident went to see who it was, the vehicle peeled out and killed his cat in the process.
Someone reported seeing smoke smoldering by a bridge that allegedly smelled like oil burning, making it hard to breathe. Deputies received a related call that a pile of trash under the bridge was on fire. The fire was extinguished but people were advised some steam might be visible.
A man’s neighbor was reportedly recording him and his family and he wanted to know if anything could be done about the situation.
A property owner allegedly showed up at their Marion residence and screamed in a tenant’s face who pushed her away. The tenant told deputies she was under a rental agreement and the owners weren’t giving her time to find another place.
Someone in Coram complained that a very loud ATV riding through on a daily basis was keeping them awake.
A black heifer showed up in someone’s yard in Kalispell.
A large bag of mail was found behind mailboxes in Bigfork by someone who wanted to turn it in.
Seven dogs were wandering a Hungry Horse neighborhood and a woman told deputies she had seen most of them out at least once before.
Someone complaining about a loud concert in Coram was advised there wasn’t a noise ordinance.
A woman driving through her Kalispell neighborhood all day told deputies she noticed what she thought was an injured or dying foal.
Someone calling from Kalispell reportedly asked a man parked in front of their house to leave and he “freaked out” and started yelling at them.
An extra patrol was requested in Martin City from someone alleging drug deals were going on because a black car parked behind storage units three times in a week and other vehicles would pull up. People would jump into the car for a little while and then leave.
