Sports briefs: 3 aces at Whitefish
Using a 6-iron, Diana Johann fired a hole-in-one on No. 3 on the South course of the Whitefish Golf Club on Sunday, June 11.
Johann’s shot, which came from the yellow tees, was witnessed by Ted Johann, Michelle Scott and Jim Nash.
Whisenand notches ace
Tracy Whisenand used a 26-degree iron to ace No. 4 on the North course of Whitefish Lake Golf Club on Thursday, June 15.
Wisenand made the 140-yard shot from the yellow tees Witnessing the hole-in-one were Cindy Stein and Gretchen Moore.
Cadenhead gets hole-in-one

Lewistown’s Robinson headed to Cats
Royce Robinson, a 6-foot-5 forward who helped Lewistown ot its first State A boys basketball title since 1979 in March, has committed to Montana State.
Robinson, who averaged 20.8 points and 7.5 rebounds this past season, had originally committed to Carroll College but decommitted following head coach Kurt Paulson’s surprise resignation on June 7.
Robinson announced that he was headed to MSU on Wednesday. He and fellow walk-on Carter Ash, a junior at MSU, would be the Bobcats’ two in-state players.
