Law roundup: Willful neighbors add fuel to thorny issues
It wasn’t all a bed of roses between neighbors when one alleged the other dug up flowers they mutually planted a few years ago and threw them on their property while they were at church. They were also at odds about hanging things from a fence.
Someone was suspicious of a man digging up sod in a park. The man told a Columbia Falls Police Department officer he was using a metal detector and refilling any holes he dug. After looking up city code, the officer determined that digging up items buried in the park soil was a violation and informed him he was not allowed to dig anymore. The man said he understood and left.
A man missing three fingers reportedly assaulted someone. Officers were advised of his criminal history.
A woman’s ex allegedly stole several credit cards from her wallet, which was in her truck.
A woman complained about government staff being rude to her for over eight years and the Kalispell Police Department advised her that Driver’s Services was not preventing her from getting her license and that she did, in fact, have an additional step to take to get it.

Four people in a white Chevy were allegedly smoking pills and a passerby said the driver was passed out.

A man staying at a location allegedly had a woman over for some drinks. She allegedly took his things and $700, but he was unable to provide a timeline and his story kept changing. He was advised to call back when he worked out the details.
A man in a wheelchair moved out of the road after someone raised concerns that he would get hit by a car. Officers advised him to stay out of the road and gave him a ride to a fast-food restaurant.
Someone had questions about a medical exemption and window tinting on their vehicle.
