Woman killed in Martin City hit-and-run

A Martin City woman was killed in an apparent hit-and-run in the rural Flathead County town early Sunday morning.

According to a report from Montana Highway Patrol, the fatal incident took place June 18 on Central Avenue in Martin City at about 1 a.m.

A 38-year-old man from Columbia Falls was a parked in a Chevrolet Silverado with the 37-year-old woman when another man approached the vehicle and an argument started, the report states.

The woman exited the pickup for unknown reasons and the man drove forward, running over the woman.

The pickup driver reportedly left the scene and the woman was taken to Logan Health Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
