Someone driving by Kalispell’s Deport Park described the “homeless situation” there as looking like “the southern border of California,” and wanted people moved along. The caller was upset that belongings were scattered around “right in the middle of the beautiful city.” Two piles of human feces and trash were also found. Kalispell Police Department officers educated seven people about the public nuisance law, banned them from being in parks for the day and gave them half an hour to finish packing and move on.

Someone reportedly chucked a rock through a vehicle window.

A rock was reportedly thrown through a house window while a man was out of town over the weekend.

A later call came in about a rock reportedly being used to break a garage door window and items valued at $100 were reported stolen.

A stumbling woman holding a piece of wood reportedly tried to get into a man’s vehicle and then onto her bicycle, which proved unsuccessful, so she walked the bike instead. The man didn’t want to press charges.

A woman sitting on a sidewalk allegedly threw trash everywhere so an employee asked her to leave. She advised him and an officer she would finish her coffee first and then move on.

Possibly the same woman reportedly threw food in the door of a business.

A dad at the playground with his kids noticed windows busted out on the side of a building and raised concerns that people could easily reach in and grab stuff.

Someone was concerned about a woman reportedly in and out of consciousness at the edge of a pond would fall in the water.

A man who works from home has the misfortune of living next to a dog that thought its job was barking 16 hours a day, and claimed his attempt at talking to the dog owner and “leaving passive-aggressive notes in their mailbox” didn’t work. Officers told him to keep a bark log. The owner claimed the dog does not bark all day and only barks when it's playing outside. Officers advised the dog owner of city ordinances.
