AA Lakers bow out of Palouse with loss
PULLMAN, Wash. — Ostyn Brennan threw six solid innings for the Kalispell AA Lakers Saturday, but was on the short end of a pitcher’s duel in a 3-1 loss at the Palouse Summer Series tournament.
Elevate Northwest pitcher Brady Fridgen held the Lakers to one hit — a fourth-inning single by Kaden Drish — along with two walks. He struck out 11, and the run he gave up was unearned.
Brennan allowed four hits, four walks and two earned runs. He struck out six against the squad out of Woodinville, Washington..
The Lakers’ next action is a nine-inning, non-conference home game with Mission Valley on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at Griffin Field.
