Amanda Helene Paredes, 43

Amanda Helene Paredes, 43, born August 3, 1979, died June 22, 2023.

A very bright light has moved on from our world.

Born in Texas and raised in Southern California, she graduated from Huntington Beach High School, then pursued her education at the University of Hawaii and Long Beach State.

With a childlike wonder, she embraced life while excelling in a diverse range of careers. Always endearing herself to her coworkers, many who became lifelong friends.

Surrounded by a loving and supportive family, she leaves behind cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Saenz Paredes; her grandparents; and her cousin, Amy Houser.

She loved to travel, always coming up with new and unique adventures.

Her appreciation for music was always present, she knew the lyrics to songs spanning from George Strait to Snoop Dogg.

Her quick wit allowed her to seamlessly insert hilarious lines from movies like, "Talladega Nights", into everyday conversations.

She shared many river rafting expeditions with her loyal companion of over a decade, Lucy her Border Collie mix.

She had a mischievous sense of humor and had a talent for pranks. She could orchestrate elaborate schemes like releasing hundreds of crickets into someone's car in the middle of the night.

Her absence will be deeply felt.

No services are planned, but she requested any memorial be made to one of the local shelters.
