Ashley Clay Drollinger, 60

Ashley Clay Drollinger, 60, of Kalispell, passed away on Feb. 23, 2023.

Ashley was born on March 9, 1962, to Wesley Burl Drollinger and Beverly Ann Drollinger in Kalispell. He joined his brothers Wade, Randy, Monte, Marlow, and his twin sister Allison. After Ashley graduated from Flathead High School in 1981, he enlisted in the Air Force.

He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years of distinguished and decorated service as a security force and command post. He particularly loved serving in Turkey and Germany. He was also stationed in many places stateside and was involved in operations in the Gulf War.

In 1985, Ashley met Stephanie Bowers at Nellis Air Force Base. They had two sons, Stephen and Wesley, who he loved dearly.

Ashley retired from the Air Force in 2002 and returned to Montana to be home with his family. He then met the love of his life, Kay Bradley. Ashley had many hobbies; he loved taking care of their three horses with rotational grazing, his pastures were always pristine. Ashley was an avid hiker, enjoyed weightlifting and helping others attain their fitness goals. He loved his rolling pigeons and entered many competitions. He was an enthusiastic world traveler and wondered at the heavens through his telescope. He helped family and friends with chores and building projects.

Ashley was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Wesley; and stepdad Ed Kirk; brothers, Wade, Randy and Marlow; nephews, Ryan Drollinger and Marlow Moschetti. He is survived by his wife Kay; his sons, Stephen (Juliana) and Wesley; and stepchildren, Colin Bradley (Kelley) Chelcee Humphrey (Josh) and their children Jeremiah and Brooks, Chauncy Bradley and son Korrin; brothers, Monte Drollinger (Marge), Brian Drollinger (Dawn); and sister, Allison Drollinger (Paul); and numerous nephews nieces aunts and cousins.

Services will be held at Salvation Army Church 110 Bountiful Dr. Kalispell on Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m.
