Ronald G. Hoye, 87

Ronald G. Hoye “Ron” passed away Wednesday, March 15 while in the presence of friends and family after reaching the old age of 87. Ron was born Feb. 13, 1936 in Froid, Montana to parents Alfred and Vivian Hoye and is survived by his grandchildren, Serena, Jonathan, Jeaneen; daughter-in-law, Helen; and siblings, Art, Susan and Adrian.

After serving our country in the Air Force, he was fortunate to meet his perfect partner, marrying Anita Sheets in 1959 and having son Shawnn. Ron enjoyed public service; Sunriser Lions Club for 52 years, stepping up as president, zone chairman, deputy district governor and more; board member for Rails to Trails, Pee Wee Baseball coach for 15 years, board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters for 13 years, Elks Club, and board member of Central School Museum.

Ron’s favorite hobbies include bicycling, woodworking and photography which he passed onto Serena. He touched the hearts of many and will be missed dearly.

His funeral service will be held at Epworth Methodist Church Saturday, March 25, 10 a.m. with food and graveside following.
