Under the proposal, the State will collect all marijuana taxes on marijuana sold within the Flathead Reservation and the revenues will be distributed between the State and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Under the proposal, the State will be responsible for the regulation of all licensees within the exterior boundaries of the Reservation, and the State will administer the tax and remit quarterly tax distributions to the Tribes. The proposed marijuana cooperative agreement provides for enforcement of the agreement and provides a ten (10) year, six (6) month term.
