The meeting will be held: Wednesday April 19, 2023 12:00 p.m. Kwataqnuk Flathead Lake Resort 49708 US Hwy 93 East Polson, Montana The proposed marijuana cooperative agreement seeks to minimize potential issues related to the regulation and taxation of marijuana on the Flathead Reservation. Under the proposal, the State will collect all marijuana taxes on marijuana sold within the Flathead Reservation and the revenues will be distributed between the State and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Under the proposal, the State will be responsible for the regulation of all licensees within the exterior boundaries of the Reservation, and the State will administer the tax and remit quarterly tax distributions to the Tribes. The proposed marijuana cooperative agreement provides for enforcement of the agreement and provides a ten (10) year, six (6) month term. We invite you to attend public meeting to learn about the marijuana cooperative agreement and to present pertinent information.
