Scott Alan White, 55
Scott Alan White, 55, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 22 after a quick battle with illness.
Scott was born in Rochester, Minn., but moved to Seattle as a young child. He grew up in Seattle and graduated from Chief Sealth High School. Scott worked for Toyota and Chevy in Seattle and Burien and this is how he met his wife Laura when she bought her first car from him.
The family later moved to Beaverton, Ore., and then to Lacey, Wash. Scott faithfully moved to support Laura and her calling to be in Lutheran education. Most recently Scott was a financial planner for Thrivent Financial.
Scott was a faithful Seahawk fan. He loved a Sunday filled with church and a good football game. He was in awe of the beauty of Montana, enjoyed camping, visits to the lake and watching the deer in his yard. Cheering Grace on as she ran cross country and track, and listening to her sing in choir or in church always brought him joy. Scott was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed his elder responsibilities.
Scott will be greatly miss by his wife Laura; their daughter Grace and his son Courtney; and sister Dawn and husband Bryon; grandchildren, Evan and Miles; and many special friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Marie White.
Memorial gifts can be made to Trinity Lutheran School scholarships.
