Moultray hits for cycle as Wildkats top Browning
BROWNING — Maddie Moultray hit for the cycle to back her own pitching Tuesday, leading the Columbia Falls Wildkats over Northwest A foe Browning 25-0.
Moultray singled and hit a two-run double in the Kats’ nine-run first inning, hit an RBI triple during an 11-run second inning, and hit a two-run homer in the third.
The game ended after three innings under the mercy rule; Moultray struck out eight on the mound.
Catcher Demye Rensel hit two doubles, a homer, a single and drove in seven for the Wildkats, who outhit Browning 21-1. Aspen Dawson, Sophie Robbins and Kyrah Trenkle all drove in three runs; Trenkle and Dawson hit doubles. Trenkle and Sydney Mann scored four times each.
