Kenworth Sales Company has opened a new TRP All Makes parts store in the Flathead Valley to provide aftermarket parts for trucks, trailers, buses, engines and winches.

With Kenworth locations across 10 states, the store will be able to expand its inventory for the Flathead Valley and beyond.

“Not only do we have access to Kenworth [original equipment manufacturer] brand parts, but we can get pretty much anything aftermarket. It’s really endless,” said Steve Howard, general manager of the store, who has over 20 years of experience.

While the TRP store has been open in Kalispell since December, the store just celebrated a ribbon cutting on April 19. The 8,100-square-foot facility includes a retail display and a parts warehouse.

TRP, which stands for ‘trusted, reliable, proven’, sells parts for all makes of commercial equipment including Kenworth, Blue Bird, Chevrolet, Ford, Freightliner, GMC, Great Dane, International, IC Bus, Mack, Peterbilt, Sterling, Thomas, Volvo, Wabash and Western Star. This is the third TRP store that Kenworth Sales has opened.

The TRP product line has the same level of quality as the other original equipment manufacturer parts, according to the company. The parts are made to the same specifications as the parts that were originally put on the trucks when they were built, plus they carry the same nationwide warranty as all other PACCAR parts, the company says.

TRP serves customers across several industries including loggers, farmers, ranchers, miners, dump truck haulers, over-the-road freight companies and small equipment operators. In an email, Kyle Treadway, president of Kenworth Sales, said, “We’re excited about joining this vibrant mountain community.”

“We're so big and competitive and we have access to all the parts. It helps that we have active and excellent employees. They all care and make sure to get the right parts for the customer. That makes a big difference in moving forward and growing,” said Howard.

Previously, clients had to either drive to Missoula or wait for a delivery to the Kalispell area in order to obtain a part. With the convenient location, local businesses such as Schellinger, McManus Transport, and several other construction related accounts can quickly get back on the road.

For warranty related items, customers still have to drive to Missoula, but this is something Howard intends to address with the new store and envisions a future of providing service.

“We want to be able to service the customers’ warranty. We want to be able to take care of not only their parts needs, but also fix any warranty related items,” said Howard.

The store is also set up to supply parts to any size repair shop or maintenance facility and same-day delivery is available for part orders for the greater Kalispell area.

“I actually care and I’ll go the extra mile for our customers,” said Howard. “We don’t tell our customers no. My focus is to exhaust all possible options before telling our customers that we can’t get a part.”

TRP of Kalispell is located at 3480 U.S. 2 East and is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached by phone at 406-609-0795.
