John L. Moore Jr., 59

John L. Moore Jr., 59, passed away peacefully on May 20 at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell. John is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Moore; parents, John and Pat Moore; and brothers Reece Moore (Amy Sturm) and Cory Moore.

John was born July 2, 1963 in Charleston, SC.. His family moved to California when he was young. It was in California that John met the love of his life Tracy. John and Tracy moved to Kalispell 30 years ago and have been here ever since.

John worked for Rocky Mountain Contractors, Cole Strip Electric and Mountain Power. His work often kept him away from home for long periods of time, working in many parts of Montana, the Dakotas and Wyoming, to name a few. John was a journeyman heavy equipment operator with IBEW 768, performing underground electrical work.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his friends in the outdoors. John was a very giving person, and would always lend a helping hand to anybody that needed it. His boisterous laugh and smile would light up a room with cheer. John also loved his animals, the horses, dogs and cats, as these were his children. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Birch Grove Community Center in Kalispell on Saturday, June 10 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.
