Glacier’s State AA softball championship couldn’t have happened without some big-time performances, and now three Wolfpack players are All-State.

Senior Emma Cooke and juniors Ella Farrell and Kenadie Goudette were named first-team all-conference in voting by Western AA coaches; all first-team picks are also All-State selections.

Seven Glacier players landed all-conference honors, along with one from Flathead.

Farrell, who went 12-2 with a 2.30 earned-run average with the Pack this season, was named the Western AA’s Defensive Player of the Year as well.

She struck out 124 hitters in 106 2-3 innings while Glacier went 20-3 and nailed down its first championship since 2015.

Goudette, who plays second base, hit .462 with six homers and 21 runs batted in; she scored a team-high 39 runs. Cooke, Glacier’s right fielder, hit .423 with six homers and 32 RBIs.

Farrell also led the Pack in hitting (.486), homers (seven) and runs batted in (42). The Offensive Player of the Year went to Missoula Big Sky catcher Grace Hood (.605 average, 16 homers, 45 RBIs).

Making second-team All-Western AA for Glacier were catcher Cazz Rankosky shortstop Nakiah Persinger, both sophomores. Rankosky hit .427 and Persinger .413 this season.

Flathead had sophomore outfielder McKenzie Brandt on the second team as well; she hit .472 to help the Bravettes make their first State AA tournament since 2007.

Seniors Brooklyn Imperato, Glacier’s center fielder, and Morgan Vivian, the Pack’s first baseman, were honorable mention.
