Mark Alan Hamilton, 62

| November 5, 2023 12:00 AM

Mark A. Hamilton, 62, is finally at peace after a complicated battle with lung cancer. He passed away on Oct. 25, 2023, with his loyal companion Boone by his side.

He was born in Whitefish, on Aug. 7, 1961, to Howard and Elaine Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; in 2002 and 2016 respectively.

He is survived by sister, Brenda (Tom) Banning of Whitefish; brother, Mike (Judy) Hamilton; and sister, Julie Hamilton (Rich) Sproul of Columbia Falls. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He had family and friends that loved and cared about him, including a very close friendship with Brigitte Bernhardt. He was very active in the lives of her son Trace and daughter Tiga. He loved them as his own.

The family would like to thank his friend Trevor Kreider, for his patience with Mark, giving him a helping hand and a place to land.

Mark grew up having fun fishing, swimming, boating and water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, dirt biking, four wheeling and camping. Everything he did was full speed ahead. He would end up in the emergency room, but it never seemed to slow him down.

From day one Mark was always his own person and could also be his own worst enemy. He lived his life as he wanted, but if you needed help with anything, he would be there.

Rest in peace Mark.

Mark has been cremated and there will not be any services.

Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
