Letters to the editor Nov. 7
Response to Zinke
I couldn’t help but sit down to respond to the Oct. 29 diatribe by Rep. Ryan Zinke which had so much baloney jumping off the paper it took some time to itemize it all.
Lo and behold a few days later, reader Melissa Case did my work for me. Her letter was spot on.
Zinke, trying to blame Sen. Jon Tester, President Biden, all Democrats, anyone but himself and Republicans with the Hamas invasion, China’s encroachment on Taiwan, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, chaos in Lebanon (did I miss anything, congressman?)
“As ever, the GOP [Zinke] is trying to pull the wool over voters” with “fascist MAGA doctrine and GOP lies.”
Let’s start with the end of Zinke’s article:
“He lives in Whitefish.”
That’s almost funny. Try, California?
Congressman, instead of continuing the “blame everyone else” method mastered by your former boss who is now under multiple indictments, who fired you for your corruptive ways, try working to solve problems in our backyard.
Maybe start with what the GOP ignores to the utter amazement of the rest of the world: America’s penchant for blowing each other away using unfettered access to any gun. Or would that be too honest for your party?
