Evergreen kicks off holiday season

The traditional Pie Auction and Light Up Evergreen is set for Tuesday, Nov. 21 at Glacier Ace Hardware.
The community donates pies to auction off to friends and neighbors with the proceeds from the annual auction benefiting the NWMT Veteran’s Food Pantry and the Flathead Food Bank.
The pie auction begins at 5 p.m. and then at 6:30 p.m. Harmon Crane & Rigging lights their special tree in the sky.
The event launches the holiday season into full gear in Evergreen.

Looking to help those in need, the Evergreen Chamber will participate in the annual Community Bell Ringing Day to raise money for the Salvation Army. The chamber will be ringing at the red kettles in front of Super1 Foods in Evergreen from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. The Evergreen Chamber’s annual Holiday Gathering will be celebrating the Evergreen chamber on Thursday, Dec. 8 with a traditional holiday dinner and silent auction. The theme this year is Christmas Vacation. The event begins at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. at the Flathead Fairgrounds.
The Brent Hall award will be given to recognize and celebrate the qualities of the Flathead Valley icon who made the Evergreen community his business home for four decades. The award recognizes the qualities that were part of Hall — a spirit of giving, community and business leadership, volunteerism, and advocacy for those in need of a voice, and supportive of those who needed a hand.
