Patricia Lynn Ingvalson, 74

| October 8, 2023 12:00 AM

Patricia (Trish) Lynn Ingvalson, 74, passed away to go "hug and kiss," her husband, on Wednesday Sept. 27, 2023. She was surrounded by her son and loved ones.

She was born to Julian (Zip) and Elizabeth (Liz) Ciba on March 17, 1949, in Great Falls, Montana. She was one of four children who lived, "across the tracks," in Black Eagle, and was very proud of her upbringing. She would frequently sneak past the security guards at the gates of Smelter Hill to watch her childhood crush and future husband, Larry, swim.

After completing grade school and most of high school together they parted ways but reunited in Kalispell, Montana, where Trish was a school teacher. They would later marry in 1982. She was an astounding teacher of various grades who gave everything to her students and loved her job.

Gardening, recycling, writing letters, camping, and cooking were a few of Trish's numerous hobbies. The birth of her first grandson on 12/2/22 quickly became her favorite topic of conversation. She was everyone's best friend, had a heart of gold, with a social network that reached far beyond the Flathead Valley. She always had a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen, and a contagious smile that came from her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, Julian; mother, Elizabeth Ciba; husband, Larry; and niece, Emily Mohler.

She is survived by her son, Larry (wife Abbey); grandson, Logan; sister, Jan (husband Tom Mohler); brother, Gary (wife Helen Ciba); brother, Rob Ciba; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial mass held for Patricia at 11 a.m. on Thur. Oct. 12, at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Kalispell, with burial to follow service at Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Johnson-Gloschat funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
