Two die in separate crashes Saturday
Two men from Kalispell and Libby died in separate crashes Saturday.
A Kalispell man died in a motorcycle crash near Ferndale.
According to a Montana Highway Patrol report, the 64-year-old man was driving a Harley Davidson FLHR on Montana 83 at Pine Ridge Road on Oct. 14 at about 1:30 p.m. The driver lost control of the motorcycle and went off the right side of the road. He died at the scene of the crash.
Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash, the Highway Patrol report states. Road conditions were dry.
In Libby, an 18-year-old woman driving a Toyota Tacoma reportedly struck a pedestrian in the outside westbound lane at mile marker 35 on U.S. 2 at 11:44 p.m. Saturday.
The pedestrian, a 40-year-old Libby man, was transported to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center and succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and her 27-year-old passenger were not injured
Road conditions were dry. Alcohol, drugs or speed were not considered factors in the collision.
