Law roundup: Sketchy stop grinds driver’s gears

The driver of a red Volvo station wagon allegedly blew through a stop sign and told another driver, who confronted him about it, that he would “kill him with his skateboard.” The other driver told the Kalispell Police Department he feared for his life and wanted the suspect charged with assault.

A recently evicted man allegedly took a break from packing and went into the building hallway where he pulled down his pants, exposing himself to a janitor.

Someone alleged they were followed into a store by a man claiming to be an off-duty sheriff’s deputy, but said he refused to show his badge. They said the store had video footage and the man was driving a white Dodge Ram work truck.

A gray “little dainty car” was driving around at night with no headlights on.

A man’s ex-wife reportedly showed up on his front porch drunk after ditching her broken down vehicle in an intersection and was refusing to leave.

Someone was suspicious of a baby buggy they reportedly saw down a bank on Woodland Avenue and wanted officers to check it out.

A man allegedly walked up behind the building manager and broke their door.

A man wearing a blue jacket and red hat was reportedly screaming in front of a location and then walked up and down the sidewalk. Officers checked the area and spoke to a few people who didn’t hear a mysterious man screaming.

A man with a dog allegedly sat down on a woman’s back deck but eventually left in an unknown direction. She thought it could have been a neighbor’s confused boyfriend, but she wasn’t sure and called the police. Officers were unable to locate him.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report about stolen shoes.

Ten brown cows stampeded from Majestic Valley Arena into the southbound lane on U.S. 93.

A motorcyclist was speeding up and down a Lakeside road and a resident reportedly tried to get them to slow down by drawing attention to a “children at play” sign that he picked up. The biker’s response was to tell him that he’d better watch out.

A woman, who allegedly tried to shoplift lotion and mouthwash, was ticketed for theft.

Someone calling from Kalispell reportedly heard two loud noises while driving on Whitefish Stage Road and found two dents in their car when they got home. They thought the culprit was a BB gun.

Someone reportedly trying to talk a guy out of driving drunk in Bigfork asked if a deputy could come to the location and explain to him why it was a bad idea.

A white horse was trotting around Bigfork and someone “pushed it off” to the north side of the highway so it wouldn’t be in the roadway.

Someone slashed all the tires on a vehicle in Kalispell.

Two jail inmates got into a fight and one of the individuals wanted to press charges.
