A woman told the Kalispell Police Department she paid someone $15 to sew a button on a shirt they gave to someone else who came into the business. She also complained about another fashion crime the person was committing of double-charging her for items at the business. She said she did not want to pursue anything beyond reporting the activity, which was civil in nature anyway.

A man was reportedly paranoid that a small plane was following him while he walked on a trail

by a roundabout, telling police it was “circling and dipping” over him.

Someone’s friend allegedly locked themselves in a shed and the key was not working. The man did not respond to officers, who knocked and announced their presence multiple times. Officers, who were concerned the man was injured based on his history and lack of contact, pried the doorknob off with a special tool. The man reportedly said he was sleeping.

A 2017 silver BMW was reportedly ransacked but it didn’t appear anything was taken. A woman reportedly told officers she believed neighbors were monitoring her and entering her apartment and rearranging things. She said it was a recurring problem. She was advised to set up security cameras.

A man allegedly returned home to find a doorknob unusually loose and smears on a window that he thought were from someone trying to remove the screen to break in. It was determined that the doorknob had wear indicating it had been loose for some time and a cobweb across the screen indicated it was not moved. No new damage or anything missing was reported.

A woman toting children around in a minivan reportedly kept falling asleep in a drive-thru and then drove very slowly out of the parking lot which led someone to think she was on drugs. An officer counseled her about her driving.

A man with long gray hair allegedly sat on a motorcycle parked behind a store yelling and screaming profanities and an employee thought he was drunk.

A dog inside a building manager’s office was purportedly “going bonkers,” which alarmed someone in the apartment below to ask officers to check on the animal. Officers spoke with the manager. It was determined an individual with the dog was a squatter, who was refusing to leave. Officers cleared the apartment and took the black heeler to a shelter.

A new burgundy Schwinn Meridian adult tricycle was reported stolen from someone’s porch. The tricycle has black wheel hub covers, a rear black basket, a diamond-shaped accent on the forks and cross-shaped embroidery on the back of the seat seat.
