The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a man allegedly threatening to shoot people at a boat launch. Authorities informed him that the simplest solution might be talking to the neighbor about it because there wasn’t a noise ordinance. Although he didn’t know the person, he was already concerned about being assaulted.
Meanwhile, someone’s tranquility was disturbed in Somers and they complained about noise coming from what sounded like a party or people playing a game on a patio. They also noted their unhappiness with the lack of a noise ordinance. They complained as well that people shooting weapons was also keeping the neighborhood up. The individual was likely dismayed to learn that, if done in a safe manner (proper backstop and lighting, for example), the activity was not illegal.
