Howard V. Spain Jr., 48

Howard "Howie" V. Spain Jr., 48 of Kalispell, passed away Sept. 13, 2023.

Howard, fondly known as Howie was born to Debbie and Howard Spain Sr. on Dec. 12, 1974, in Kalispell. At a young age he developed a fondness for cars. He was a talented mechanic who shared his love through his work.

He is survived by his parents, Debbie Spain and Fred Bauer; and two brothers, Ken and Richard Spain. He is also survived by his daughter, Maurissa Spain.

He was welcomed in heaven by his son, Kaiden Spain; father, Howard Spain Sr.; grandfather, Clark Spain; grandmother, Shirley Spain; and grandmother, Angie McKay Peterson.

Aside from his love for cars he was known for his tough shell and heart of gold. He can be remembered by his jet black hair and signature hairstyle, dress shirts, and contagious smile. He was an amazing father, friend, and business owner. He had a way of making everyone feel like they were being taken care of no matter how much he had going on. He had a positive impact on the community and will truly be missed.

Howie's graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, at C.E Conrad Cemetery in Kalispell. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
