Law roundup: Horror film comes to life in Columbia Falls
In a scene straight out of an ‘80s slasher film, a teenager described how an ominous man in a black tracksuit began tailing her after school to investigators with the Columbia Falls Police Department. The teenager recalled talking to her boyfriend on the phone while walking home when she spotted the suspicious man. That’s when her phone cut out and the man began following her. When he broke into a run, she fled. Officers mounted extra patrols in the area.
A woman phoned the police to find out what happened to a man who was cited for trespassing on her property.
The employee of a Ninth Street business phoned authorities after allegedly spotting someone making sales pitches to customers in the parking lot. They asked that officers remove the man as they did not want to confront him.
A woman asked for a civil standby after getting the bum-rush by a mop-wielding man while trying to pick up her property.
